On Friday, November 6th, Strangelove's got you covered. It's COVERS NIGHT, and DJ Tomas Diablo will be playing ALL COVERS, ALL NIGHT LONG!

Sometimes a cover song infuses a track with new life by updating it to a different genre (like Snake River Conspiracy's version of "Lovesong", or God Module's cover of Ratt's "Round and Round"). Sometimes a cover song exposes an artist's influences (like the Sisters of Mercy covering the Rolling Stones, or Nine Inch Nails covering Joy Division). Sometimes covering another artist is a way to get discovered (like Frente's "Bizarre Love Triangle" or Tori Amos' take on "Smells Like Teen Spirit"). And sometimes a cover becomes so iconic that people forget that there was ever a previous version (like Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" and Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"). Whatever the reason, cover songs are just a lot of fun.
